Immediate needs include monies for uniforms, trip costs, and workshops. In 2016, Take One will be travelling to perform in the Puerto Vallarta Invitational Jazz Festival. The Invitational is a philanthropic opportunity where students will donate much needed school supplies to less fortunate students in Puerto Vallarta. goal

For 25 years, the Niles North Vocal Jazz program has devoted its energy to passionately share jazz music on local, national and international stages.

The Niles North Vocal Jazz Alumni Foundation is a non-profit organization that allows you to contribute to current and future students. The program needs financial help to continue high levels of participation. Help us keep the music playing by making a donation today!

REVISED GOAL: Can we raise $3000 before the end of our first fiscal year, July 31, 2016?

The Niles North Vocal Jazz Alumni Foundation serves to invigorate the vocal jazz program at Niles North High School by uniting its alumni community and cultivating financial resources to support current and future student activities.

A note from "G"

The Niles North Vocal Jazz program is celebrating 25 years and is proud to maintain the reputation of cutting edge and exciting performances.  Every year the students rise to the challenge despite a variety of hurdles.  One of the most difficult obstacles comes from recent budget cuts to the program along with the notable economic changes within the community.  Luckily, the history and strength of our program has generated an amazing effort by VJ alumni to raise funds to offset the gap.  Now more than ever, there is a growing need to raise money to help students afford the annual retreat, our stage outfits, travel, and the annual Vocal Jazz Night.  It is tough to decide where to trim such a great program and still give students the same amazing experience.  With alumni and community support, we won’t have to make those hard decisions.  Please consider making a donation.  The amount can be modest, grand or anything in-between.  The true value of performance is in the ability to share the experience.
